SPIN, working in partnership with We the Curious, produced and delivered a new interactive and family-oriented learning activity and research project.

From mid-November 2021 to summer 2022, visitors to the museum who stopped by the new ‘John James Theatre of Curiosity’, were invited to take part in a learning activity that explored different themes connected to secrecy including Hiding, Invisibility, Evidence, and Coding.
The project was part of the launch of the new We the Curious programme for Project What If around the theme ‘A Better World Is Possible.’ See the We The Curious press release for more on the new programme.
To read up more on the project and our research findings, you can read the SPIN paper, ‘Being Curious with Secrecy’ published in Secrecy and Society, 2023.
This activity was funded and supported by the GW4 Alliance – a research alliance between the Universities of Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter.
